New Standard Pharmacy Approved in Corwall in Competing Applications Appeal

We are delighted to announce that we recently secured a new standard hours contract for a client based in Cornwall. This was a somewhat unusual application as the local dispensing doctors practice teamed up with a different pharmacy contractor to submit their own application in competition to our client’s application. The doctors then supported the competing application whilst also arguing that a pharmacy would destabilise their practice and should not be granted. NHS England approved our client’s application and this was then subject to appeal. The appeal unit agreed that our client’s application should be preferred over the competing application and our client is hoping to have the pharmacy open early in 2023.
