Another new standard hours pharmacy approval in Cornwall
We are very pleased to announce that we have secured another new standard hours pharmacy approval in Cornwall. Our client’s application for the village of Bugle was initially refused by NHS England / ICB. We appealed this decision and the case was decided by way of an oral hearing. Bugle has a dispensing doctor practice and they were the main objector to the application and had argued that the opening of a pharmacy would prejudice the proper provision of medical services. The oral hearing panel accepted our position that no evidence had been provided that supported the doctor’s claims and that a pharmacy would be of significant benefit for those who live in Bugle. The appeal was allowed and our client is hoping to have the pharmacy open before the end of this year.
