Two New Pharmacies Opened in One Month!
Shefford Medical Centre – Bedfordshire
This summer has been particularly busy for Rushport as we opened two new pharmacies for clients in the same month.
The first pharmacy opened in Scotland and was a brand new contract that we won under the Scottish Pharmacy Regulations for a retail park in East Kilbride. The second pharmacy is based in Shefford, England (pictured above with the pharmacy unit on the left) and is a joint venture between Rushport and a large GP practice with over 16,000 registered patients. The contract in England was the first ever granted under the new 2013 Regulations.
The same team has worked on both openings and have certainly put in long hours over the last few months making sure that everything was ready for a smooth opening in both countries. In fact, we don’t think that any company has ever opened two pharmacies in different countries in the same month (it was also the same week!) with new contracts, so it is another first for the Rushport team.
