New Pharmacy Approval at a Large Medical Centre in Kent
Whilst the second half of 2025 was dominated by the very large number of distance selling pharmacy applications that we have been instructed on (and are still working on), we have also been working on some standard bricks and mortar pharmacy applications too and are delighted to announce a great start to the year with the approval of a new pharmacy for a large medical centre in Whitstable, Kent.
A total of 3 applications were submitted by different Applicants, however the ICB refused all 3 applications. Our client and one other Applicant appealed the refusals and Primary Care Appeals decided to determine the case by way of an oral hearing. At the hearing we were able to show the panel that, whilst the competing Applicant was offering longer opening hours than our client, their application and claims were not reliable, whereas our client’s application was reliable and would secure improvements and better access to pharmaceuitcal services.
Our client’s application was approved and the competing application was refused.
